Strange Doings at Nadgewicke
Reminiscent of Dahl: fantastic storyline … struggled to put it down … I was in the woods, following the path to the ramshackled hut. I loved the witch's house, and the mechanical inventions…

A very fresh 'voice'…

A magical read full of twists. Beautifully written and takes your mind on a wonderful enchanting journey.
Magic, mystery, heroism, sadness, humour, and romance. The author has a gift for character development and there is plenty of action, humour, twists and turns alongside great descriptions of eerie, spooky locations. A story with depth and energy, a book that can be read alone or out loud. Thoroughly recommended.

A wonderful book. … It felt as if I too, was living in Nadgewicke, walking beside Gerta. Thank you for giving me that feeling of participation.

A thoroughly good read … The plot moves quickly, constantly invoking the reader's curiosity and concern for the main characters … Bill Mearns USA
MEET EC HUTCHCROFT
Born near Brighton, but not too close to the sea, Edward enjoyed a wavy career before discovering how to write spooky (and not so spooky) tales of intrigue and adventure.

Witzens, Pixies, Trolls - and more - inhabit strange worlds...
But wait! There are other tales too. Those a little closer to home and all of them completely fictitious...
of course.

Helena Child of the Ancients Trilogy
Last of the current series was published Mid-March 2023
Plans are afoot to bring more of Helena's adventures to you in the not-too-distant future as she delves into the strange goings on in the 'Land of half-sun'
Beyond the Void was published summer 2022. It tells the tale of eleven (soon to be twelve) year old Esmond, who, still reeling from losing his parents, returns to his grandfather's spooky old house where the memories of his mother come racing back.
But there's more to this house than just memories... his grandfather's machine for one thing. It's not called a Para-reality-obscurer for nothing. Could it be what Esmond is looking for...a way into another world... a world where his parents went before, and where someone special awaits?

Full of quirky characters and hidden dangers, this is a must read for any young adventurer.
